Welcome to our module on Positions, Interests, Feelings, and Needs! In this module, we will discuss the layers present in human conflicts, some of which may be more visible at any given time than others. When we are embroiled in conflict, we may consider the layer that is most obvious to be the focus of the issue, which can obscure the deeper layers, leading to lack of understanding and disconnection with others. Therefore, by learning to identify these components of any given conflict, we can begin to address conflicts more holistically and perhaps even transform them for the better.
