#1 in Groningen
ROCKET organized its first Outreach Conference! It took place in Groningen, Netherlands, from 28 – 30 October 2024. The three-day event provided ample opportunities for co-creation, collaboration, and learning.
While the first day was reserved for the consortium, the second and third day invited all target groups (students, lecturers, administrative staff and local stakeholders) to participate in the conference on-site and online. The hybrid format made the event more inclusive and the workshops organized by Groningen University were highly informative for everyone. Therefore, a big thank you goes out to Groningen as the organizer of this event and to Mirjam Hauck for her inspiring keynote on Critical Virtual Exchange!
#2 in Visby
The second Outreach Conference took place in Visby, Sweden at Uppsala University’s Department of Game Design from June 12-13, 2025. ROCKET co-organized the Transformative Play Initiative Seminar 2025: Games, Conflict, and Education, in collaboration with the Uppsala Forum on Democracy, Peace and Justice.
The seminar featured 24 presentations on topics related to education, conflict, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Members of the consortium facilitated a workshop on conflict styles based on the curriculum in the project. The team also hosted social events for participants, as well as internal meetings and a hybrid advisory co-creation event.

The third Outreach Conference took place in Göttingen, Germany at the historical observatorium from May 4-6, 2026.
